The Preserve course at the Binder Park Golf Course opened in 1963 along with the Marsh course. The Natural Course opened in 1999. The Binder Park Golf Courses were designed by Charles Scott.
Located in the far Southeast corner of the City of Battle Creek, the golf course was built on a six hundred acre parcel donated by the Charles Binder family.
Binder Park, containing some of Michigan's most pristine old growth forest, wetlands, scenic bluffs and changing land formations left behind by glacial ice deposits, has prospered almost from day one. With it's beautiful oak trees, many wetlands and dramatic changes in elevations, Binder Park quickly became known as one of the best public golf courses in Southern Michigan. For five decades Binder Park has provided participants a scenic walk with nature, while challenging the skills of even the accomplished player.
The expansion to 27 holes has further enhanced the course's reputation for providing a challenging golf experience

Not long but presents a good challenge nonetheless due to well executed design. Greens were in great condition for any course let alone a municipal course. 3 nines each with its own personality present excellent variation. One of the best deals anywhere, wish it were a bit closer to home.

The course was in very good shape. Only a slight issue with pace of play early in the round but other than that, it was a very good experience. The Staff in both the Pro Shop and Clubhouse were great. I will definitely return to play Binder.

The Marsh and Perserve courses are fairly typical of golf courses. The Natural course requires more shots through tree lined fairways, so use those irons.

Have played here a few years back and with the three (3) nines it give you a little selection and keeps the pace of play moving along. Played the "Preserve @ 3,276yds" and then the "Natural @ 3,257yds" in 4hrs from the Blacks with the Natural being tight fairways and landing areas. Overall conditions were very good with all the rain we've had and the greens putted very fast and smooth. Had trouble scoring shooting 42/42 w/ 37 putts as the flat stick didn't give me any saves. Located 7 minutes off I-94 makes it a great highway stop and with 27 holes, you'll get right out.
